Day
01: Arrive PARO
Arrive
to Paro by Druk Air flight you will be received by Snow White representative
and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon visit
Taa Dzong, the National Museum (which in the past served as watch tower
in order to Paro Rinpung Dzong and the valley), which has a collection
of antique thangka, textiles, weapons, Armour, house holds objects and
a rich assortment of natural and historic artifacts.
Rinpung Dzong the
heap of Jewels built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal has
a fascination history. Evening visit Paro market and town. Overnight
at the hotel in Paro

Day 02: PARO
o check your resistance we shall begin with small hike to Taktsang
Monastery.
The walk uphill will be not more than two hours. The trail is
broad. At the view point there is a cafeteria. Have a cup a tea or some
juice here and then take a walk little higher to the closer view point
of Taktsang. Then walk back for lunch in Paro town.
Afternoon visit
Drukgyel Dzong although now in ruins has a historical
importance, built in 1647 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel to
protect from the invasion of Tibetans. From here the peak of
Mount.
Jhomolhari ( mountain of goddess) can be seen.
Kyichu Lhakhang one of the 108 temples in the Himalayas
built by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gompo in the 7th century. It
reflects the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan.

Day
03: PARO - THIMPHU
Drive
to Thimphu with a short stop at Chuzom (confluence) where Paro river
joins Thimphu river. Three different styles of chortens adorn the confluence.
Before arriving Thimphu, visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of
the Kingdom, built in 1627. Today it serves, as religious college, in
which, amongst other subjects, Dzongkha is taught. Afternoon visit Tashichho dzong
"fortress of the glorious dharma". It is the centre of government
and religion, site of King's Throne room and also seat of Je Khenpo
or Chief Abbot. Built in 1641 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel the political
and religious unifier of Bhutan. Later reconstructed in 1961 in traditional
Bhutanese manner, without nails or architectural plans.
Memorial Chorten,
which was built in the memory of Bhutan's Third King, His Late Majesty,
King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Evening a brisk walk in Thimphu market.
Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.

Day
04: THIMPHU
National Library it holds a vast collection of ancient Buddhist texts, manuscripts,
modern academic books and printing blocks for prayer flags.
Traditional Medicine Institute: where centuries old healing arts such as acupuncture
and herbal remedies are still practiced. Painting School: teaches the
art of Buddhist thangkhas, and the mask maker workshop.
Visit Handicrafts Emporium and local shops if interested to buy fine
Bhutanese traditional arts like textiles, thangkha paintings, masks,
ceramics, slate and woodcarvings, jewellery, and all manner of unique
objects. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
Day
05: THIMPHU - SHONG PANG
Drive
north of valley towards Dechenchholing palace. The transport will drop
at Pangrizam. From here the trek starts towards Shong Pang, which takes
about 5/6 hours, passing through villages. On the way one can enjoy
the vegetation, which consists mainly of blue pines, oak species, rhododendrons.
Overnight camp.
Day 06: Shong Pang - Dopshing Pang
The trek ascends gradually up till you reach the Sinchula pass at about 1060m.
At this point, if the weather is clear, one can see Phajoding monastery. After a
mile, you can view Thinleygang village, the Talo monastery and the motor highway
towards the ancient capital of Bhutan. The trek drops gradually from the pass
till you reach the campsite.

Day
07: DOPSHING PANG - CHORTEN NINGPO
The
trek to Chorten Ningpo is quite gradual walking into the thick forests
valleys and rice fields before reaching camp (altitude 2,700m).
Day
08: CHORTEN NINGPO - ZOMLINGTHANG
Your
trek will pass for about 2/3 hours through villages until the motor
road. Later follow the road towards Punakha, the old capital town of
Bhutan. Evening at rest and if interested, can do fishing in Mo Chu
river. Overnight camp.
Day
09: ZOMLINGTHANG - LIMUKHA to PARO
Follow
the road till Punakha Dzong and then across the Pho Chu river, the river
that drains the remote Lunana region. After breakfast, visit to Wangdi
Dzong, standing at the confluence of Punakha Chu and Tang Chu river.
Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal built this fortress in 17th century. It holds
attractive festival, which is celebrated in autumn.

Drive to Punakha,
the old capital town of Bhutan. Visit sacred Punakha Dzong, the magnificent
example of Bhutanese architecture. Fire, earthquake and floods have
inflicted the disaster for several times on this Dzong. Later under
the supervision and direction of the present King the Dzong has
been restored completely. The remains of the Shabdrung are
entombed here in the Chapel of Machey Lhakhang. After lunch,
drive to Paro. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
Day
10: PARO depart
After
early breakfast drive to Paro airport for flight to onward destination.
